Leeds Safeguarding Adults Partnership works together to promote awareness and good practice:

Training and Workforce Development

The Leeds Safeguarding Adults Partnership is implementing a multi-agency strategy for training in Safeguarding Adults. There are four levels of formal training available, matching the four levels of responsibility in safeguarding work, Alerter, Referrer, Investigating Officer and Safeguarding Coordinator (and other specialist roles).

Alerter and Referrer, are provided free of charge to independent and voluntary sector care providers.

Alerter and Referrer courses are provided by Adult Social Care. Details are available from their Business Support Centre on 0113 247 5570.

Training courses for the Investigating Officer and Safeguarding Coordinators (and other specialist roles) are provided by the Leeds Safeguarding Adult Partnership Support Unit. All courses are provided in a city centre venue on a multi-agency basis. Courses are no longer provided externally to service providers.

The courses currently available are listed and outlined on the Training Programme (PDF). Further information is provided on the Safeguarding Training Flyers(PDF) linked to each course. Applications for these courses will need to use the Partnership Application Form (MS Word).

The fees for these courses are detailed in the Safeguarding Adult Training Fees document(PDF).
